This is a beautiful quiet part of New Zealand, awesome beaches, lots of bird life and views that take your breath away. Friendly locals asking if we need a drink as we walk by, an awesome foot bridge to start you on your way over the estuary, it was high tide so the trail was not doable on the beach, quick detour takes you around the first section back parallel with the beach. The odd grumpy cow on the trail to get you heart rate faster, yes it's calfing season and great views of the islands on the horizon. When you get through farm land, every corner you turn has an amazing view of yet another beautiful bay. Helena Bay, Whale Bay all very beautiful. We came out of the coastal walk and found there was no camping area close so where lucky enough to get a lift to Tutukaka where we stayed at the camping ground and caught up on washing and restocked. This has been my favourite track to date. Thanks to the fab couple who's car was called Allie. Bella is still very much the shining star and coping well with keeping fluids up and powering ahead on the hills. Gotta love that youthful enthusiasm.
